windows installer not working in windows 10 - new computer - Microsoft Community

cannot windows installer install program - installers go through installation not there. refers .msi missing, adobe air not available

press windows key + x

click command prompt (admin)

type in @ prompt or copy , paste these 1 @ time : (hit enter after each)

dism /online /cleanup-image /checkhealth

dism /online /cleanup-image /scanhealth

dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

also run system file checker utility:

press windows key + x

click command prompt (admin)

at command prompt, type: sfc/scannow
 
check integrity violations
 
restart system
 

if problem persist,

unregister windows installer, , reregister windows installer. this, follow these steps:

1. press windows key + r

2. in "open" box, type msiexec /unreg, , press enter.

3. press windows key + r

4. in "open" box, type msiexec /regserver, , press enter.

you can check if windows installer service running:

press windows key + r

type: services.msc

hit enter

scroll down windows installer service, right click click properties

select general tab, click in startup type list box choose automatic

click apply ok

restart computer
