Why no updates for Windows7 ?? - Microsoft Community

i run w7, home premium, hi-speed cable, norton / symantic security.

my acer laptop, bought new (2010), shows last check updates 6-14-2016, not correct check periodically.

last updates installed: 12-25-2016. 

i have computer set automatically download & install updates, still check way there never new ones.

has ms stopped issuing updates? 

i not remember seeing notices effect.

windows 7 still receives updates. 

you can check new updates clicking the check updates link in left pane of windows update window.

if computer won't find updates, windows update or components might corrupt. fix these issues can try running windows update reset tool.
