i have restored new hard drive , need recover "favorites" list.

moved from: microsoft edge / other issues / windows 10

hi steve,

when upgrade or reinstall windows 10, there’s folder generated allow restore old files within 30 days. this called windows.old folder. during operation, bookmarks or favorites in microsoft edge refreshed clean state. can import them following these steps:

1. press windows + e open file explorer.

2. click this pc.

3. depends on operating system installed. usually, it’s in drive c:\. navigate folder directory:
c:\windows.old\users\<username>\appdata\local\packages\microsoft.microsoftedge_8wekyb3d8bbwe\ac\microsoftedge\user\default

4. copy whole folder anywhere.

5. navigate folder directory current user profile folder. c:\users\<username>\appdata\local\packages\microsoft.microsoftedge_8wekyb3d8bbwe\ac\microsoftedge\user\default

6. paste whole folder here copied step 4.

7. re-launch microsoft edge browser load favorites or bookmarks.
