windows update repeatedly (several times per day) fails install kb4022725. have spent past few weeks trying self diagnose , resolve this. i'm beyond wits end , no longer hold breath when - multiple times per day - notification there updates need reboot. start swearing , walk away - after pressing "ok" button , wait 3 boot cycle complete. reaching out calmly assistance please.
in summary:
- read countless threads on problem , followed majority of advice.
- manual download , install administrator (twice i've downloaded 500+ mb file)
- clean boot
- downloaded , used troubleshooter, repeatedly (please not suggest 1 again)
- also tried built-in troubleshooter, repeatedly
- cleared windows update cache (after stopping service)
- checked drives/virus scans/fragmentation etc
- drivers up-to-date (new asus rog laptop has given no grief - windows 10 default os)
- sfc
- disabled vpn / disabled anti-virus
- unplugged usb devices
- numerous others can't recall offhand.
i willing work through new steps resolve. should not successful in resolving issue, sanity i option disable update until more effort has been put releasing stable/compatible update has higher success rate of installing. (yes that's slight dig i'm kinda peeved)

edit: failure occurs @ 19% every time. perhaps gives clue stage?
ver command prompt gives - microsoft windows [version 10.0.15063]
generally repair install last , fixed resort fix these kinds of problems, 95 percent successful in these cases.
i see no other option do repair install keep including applications , files with reinstalling windows .
if find bit tough,use alternate method in first article.
