my windows 8.1 stuck on getting update.ive waiting 5 hours still nothing happen.iwant update windows 8.1 windows 10..also cd dvd rom still missing should do?

this issue occurs due corrupted or missing windows update components. isolate concern, we'd ask following information:

  • did make changes prior issue?
  • are getting error messages?
  • what troubleshooting steps have done far?
