Windows 7 Enterprise x64 reinstallation - non-destructive - Microsoft Community

dear community,

i try non-destructive reinstall of windows 7 enterprise x64 start in windows vista sp2 compatability mode trick, described on several pages. problem is, can see in attachment, there no option upgrade. when click install now, instantly starts copying files. upgrade default option here or there other way of acheiving non-destructive reinstall win 7 enterprise?

it appreciated, if give me insight.

ps: install disc named: grmcenxvol_de_dvd university landeslizenz in germany

windows 7 enterprise volume license client , supports in place upgrades following editions:

  • windows vista business
  • windows vista ultimate

compatibility mode trick not work if base qualifying license not supported upgrade path.

here work around can try if want perform non-destructive install. make sure backup registry before attempting it:
