Windows 10 still at 1511, fails every time I update to 1607, and - Microsoft Community

i have dell inspiron 5520, , running windows 10, version 1511, os build 10586.753. have had update (1607, aka anniversary update) available released last year, everytime install it, fails.
these recent attempts install it, , clicking failed install under update gives no error codes or reasons why failing.

the download successful , starts installing after restarts, encounters error , says not configured , restoring previous version. tried downloading windows 10 upgrade assistant because after each failed install of version 1607, not appear when check updates in settings.

i downloaded troubleshooter (https://support.microsoft.com/en-ca/instantanswers/512a5183-ffab-40c5-8a68-021e32467565/windows-update-troubleshooter) , after running in administrator mode, says found errors , fixed them, when updated again, failed again.

 

running trouble shooter again gave issues , says fixed them again more issues still have failed updates, , every time run troubleshooter, same issues above displayed.


have mcafee internet security , disabled firewall , real-time scanning before updating.
