Upgrading to Windows 10 , after downgrading and reset. - Microsoft Community

so upgraded windows 10 windows 8.1 in late 2015, through free upgrade offer. liked win 10 there issues apps, wouldnt work downgraded within 30 day period. reset device time after.

lately ive been receiving messages upgrade 8.1 or 10 , since 10 ends life after long time (i hope), upgrade again. can still free upgrade? right im using windows 8(not 8.1). read somewhere after downgrade, "winver" window shows windows 10. unfortunately mine doesn't right now. still says 8. need upgrade 8.1 first?

you can either free upgrade 8.1, or reinstall 10 free took advantage of free upgrade offer 10 available.

and upgrade 10 again there is no need upgrade 8.1 first.

when your free upgrade 10 was  activated microsoft have kept the hardware configuration details of device on servers recognition purposes if have reinstall 10.
