i run program 5pm until 11:30 am,  5 days week.  stupid active hours limited 12 hours.  need (my) computer able run more 12 hours guaranteed, during 5 days,  without stupid automatic update shutting down.  how can this? hi doug, windows 10 pcs automatically check updates , install updates find. since can set 12 of 24 hours each day active hours, may try setting connection metered prevent automatic downloading of updates. to change option, open settings app, head to  network & internet > wi-fi , , click on manage known networks . choose wi-fi network , click  on properties . there, enable set metered connection option. note: since microsoft improving windows 10 new updates, advisable keep pc date. let know if can else. hi, i purchased new hp probook laptop yesterday windows 10 pro on it. after starting first time yesterday downloaded updates , got page says "updating windows 10. please wait. 99% complete." under windows 10 upgrade assistant.   i have been stuck @ point 13 hours. called hp customer support , told wait 24 hours. told windows software problem not hardware problem (gee, thanks). implication contact microsoft after 24 hour period. first time using windows 10 pro. each version seems have own peculiar issues on doing things updating software. i using windows 7 home premium on toshiba laptop.  when update there can't go desktop , work on windows 10 pro. 1 time got hung @ updating page , ended having reboot. when did continued normally. the first time turn on computer , have updates takes long time couple of days me software. have never been stuck @ 99% on 13 hours before updates windows. else working fine laptop except problem. hung...

have had microsoft automatic windows 10 updates. every time there update outlook program uses apple icloud totally worthless in terms of address book, calendar , contacts. second time had incur charges of outside computer company rectify situation 1. isnt there way when microsoft automatic updates outlook not affected 2. there way opt out of auto updates this costing me lot of money in outside fees rectify everytime. have hp2000. upgraded windows 8 windows 10 little on year ago. loving it!!! first started noticing every time needed print document on hp printer have reset router , restart printer print anything. have instant ink. month ago email instant ink telling me connect printer because show offline. needless printer connected network not connect hp connected. computer wont connect hp. hp website computer wont connect to. tried connect website from my printer , computer nothing!! , since cant connect website cant print printer. decide reset computer factory , reinstall printer see if works on start computer has black screen , says no windows operating system found. find odd , didn't put them until 2nd laptop has crashed way both windows 10. first time figured old computer i'm wondering there defect windows 10 that's causing these crashes on hp products? please help..... love windows 10 , want back!! nothing works on either hard drive. ...
