Keep getting this error message when trying to play music in WMP.... - Microsoft Community

"windows media player cannot find file. if trying play, burn, or sync item in library, item might point file has been moved, renamed, or deleted"

it shows in wmp gives message , won't play.....some items in library play , others gert message

any appreciated....thanks!

hi - unfortunately happens quite lot in windows 7 - items changed in explorer music library not follow through wmp's library.

you should able sort of out restoring wmp library. re-writes database but cannot put in library if has been deleted computer. follow path shown in image below , let me know if tidies things up. - ric.

(if cannot see 'tools' (top left) right click in space @ blue arrow... 'advanced' , 'restore library'.
