Can't access some specific websites in Windows - Microsoft Community

after installing windows 8, not able access specific websites such

https://www.cnet.com/, http://searchengineland.com/, https://www.techquintal.com, etc. shows dns errors. how can fix this? these websites opening you?

are connected wireless connection? if yes, can connect directly router , see if helps? also, try temporarily disable firewall following steps on link.

note: you shouldn't turn off windows firewall unless have firewall turned on. turning off windows firewall might make pc (and network, if have one) more vulnerable unauthorized access. if pc connected network, network policy settings might prevent completing these steps. more info, contact administrator.
