CHKDSK keeps restarting - Microsoft Community

acer aspire laptop

hi,

i started running disk check , repair yesterday , gets midway through part 4 of 5 , restarts without warning. it's 24 hours later , it's on 3rd or maybe 4th run through. 

it hasn't shown concerning messages while running if it's restarting on own there funky going on.

i hate hard reboot it's looking have manually stopped somehow. safest method shut down lowest risk files? there stage that's safer interrupt?
