Windows continues to power down even though all sleep settings are set - Microsoft Community
Windows / Windows 7 / Performance & system failures
ok...i've scoured forums , spent on hour on phone microsoft & hp tech support. the problem persists. i have settings on machine set "never" sleep, power down, or enter screen saver. yet, when i'm browsing online computer enter sleep within 30 seconds. it's happening when internet browser active (chrome). i feel microsoft glitch that's subtlety telling me use edge vs. chrome. i little pop-up says "edge faster" when i'm using chrome. stop bs microsoft, know chrome lord. get out of browser game , make os perform better.
ok...me ranting aside. has else experienced or found solve?

one. try checking malware , viruses.
two. check cpu usage, report usage.
three. if willing let go, dev channel of chrome or firefox. install these , try , see if these work. chrome has reports of being memory hog.
four. can have kfc?
five. run sfc /scannow on command prompt.
six. reinstall chrome (least work)
seven. kfc!!
