Repair/Reinstall SAPI in Win7 64-bit - Microsoft Community

hi all,

i trying use third-party application called voiceattack gaming when try start application following error:

"an error has occurred while trying initialize speech engine's audio event handlers. possible speech engine voiceattack relies on corrupt, has corrupt components or missing and/or has missing components. "

the forum admin program says problem windows speech recognition though seems working normally.

i have tried usual stuff, uninstalled software , re-downloaded installer before reinstalling, removed , reinstalled windows speech recognition via windows update.

i ran sfc , found no errors , reinstalled .net framework suggested problem still persists. other suggestion had reinstall/repair sapi not sure how that. i've tried google don't see instructions on how this. impression have read embedded in windows rather standard application.

is there way reinstall or repair sapi?

regarding concern sapi (speech application program interface), there no way uninstall it. steps you've done reinstall windows speech recognition through windows update way know can help.

need sure both third party app , windows speech recognition running @ same time. also, consider check if app compatible windows speech recognition.
