Windows updates - Microsoft Community

computer running painfully slow. checked see if updates downloaded , installed see if computer speeds up. there list of updates none have been installed. cause of lack of speed? should somehow try delete updates (don't know how)? have done reset hasn't worked. there else can fix problem?
