Windows 7 Personalization - Existing Name Save .themepack and - Microsoft Community

since release of windows 7 in october 2009, there has been technical glitch, bug never ever fixed before. technical bug when save .themepack (theme file) existing file name , not display dialog box asking user save current theme new name.

has using windows 7 noticed same name save bug?

here image, illustrating 4 themes on computer different, use same name. have named 4 themes "color" show different customizations made them, have same name.

as can see image, 4 windows 7 themes have different images , colours have same file name "color".

in windows explorer, when create file or folder existing file name, prompts user dialog box asking him or change different file name. below have examples:

replace folders existing file names.

replace files existing file names.

as can see 2 images above, have folder named "images" in 1 location, when move or create new folder existing file/folder name, in case "images" prompts me change folder name supposed do.

the same thing files. have word document called "letter" in 1 folder , word file called letter in folder, when move or create new word document existing file name prompts me change file name of word document new file name supposed do.

for .themepack files in windows 7 , .deskthemepack files in windows 10, should prompt user use different theme file name. example, if create new theme called "cat" , there theme on computer exiting theme file name called "cat" should prompt me dialog box save new theme file new file name.

the problem here same name save .themepack , .deskthemepack files when themes installed on windows 7 or windows 10 computer having same existing name causes lot of confusion between users , colleagues. having many themes on 1 or more computers using existing theme name, makes hard users , colleagues recognize different .themepack , .deskthemepack theme files installed in themes personalization area in control panel of windows 7 , windows 10.

what want , hope microsoft developers here release patch update both windows 7 , windows 10 fix same name save on installed .themepack , .deskthemepack files in both windows 7 , windows 10 operating systems.

all new themes users , colleagues create , save, or install must have different theme file name not raise concerns multiple themes using same name causes confusion between people.

windows 7 urgently must have windows 7 service pack 2, because of many different issues. begin with, users installing fresh copy of windows 7 service pack 1 on computer have far many patch updates install beyond service pack 1.

windows 7 still has quite few terrible bugs such same name save theme files. windows 7 service pack 2 must released before 2020 , must contain huge amount of integrated patch updates , fixes beyond actual service pack 2 update package.

please ask developers of microsoft windows 7 still not complete updates , time windows 7 urgently must have service pack 2 update package released no later 2019 during period of extended support windows 7 updates.

thank you.
